Freshly made ice cream with the flavours of carrot and oranges.

CARROT AND ORANGE ICE CREAM

Ingredients

2 medium carrots, peeled, cut into roundels and boiled
8-10 fresh orange segments
1 cup milk
½ cup powdered sugar
1 cup milk powder
1 cup fresh cream

Method

1. Blend boiled carrots in a blender to a fine puree.
2. Heat milk in a non-stick pan and bring to a boil.
3. Combine carrot puree and powdered sugar in a bowl and mix well.
4. Add milk powder to the boiling milk and stir continuously. Add cream, switch off heat and stir continuously.
5. Mix the prepared milk mixture with the sweetened carrot puree and whisk well.
6. Take air-tight containers. Layer with ½ orange segments and pour in the prepared mixture. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours.
7. Serve immediately.

Preparation Time: 8-9hours
Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes
