1. DRESSING: 2. Beat together egg and vinegar Put in a small pot and simmer, stirring well. 3. Continue to simmer, add sugar and onion and cook for 5 minutes. 4. Stir occasionally. 5. Chill in fridge for 1 hour. 6. Wash and drain baby spinach leaves and romaine lettuce well. 7. Place in large salad bowl. 8. Pour chilled dressing over salad and add strawberries or mandarines on top. 9. Mix well. 10. Prep time does not include refrigeration. 11.
