French Chocolate Meringues


1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. Melt chocolate over hot water. Remove from water and cool approximately 5 minutes.

3. Combine the egg whites and vanilla and beat till stiff but not dry.

4. Beat in the sugar gradually till very stiff.

5. Fold in the crackers and cooled chocolate.

6. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheets.

7. Bake at 350 F for 10 minutes.

8. Remove from pans immediately.
