Galiano (Italian Liqueur)


1. Combine sugar and water in a pan and bring to a boil.

2. Boil for 1 minute and immediately reduce heat.

3. Simmer for 1 hour or until thickened.

4. Remove from heat and cool.

5. Pour sugar syrup into a sterilized bottle.

6. Add anise extract, vanilla and food colouring.

7. Stir gently and add the vodka.

8. Cover and let the mixture sit for 10 days to 2 weeks (the longer the better) before serving.
