At Morimoto Maui, highly acclaimed celebrity chef Masaharu Morimoto, best known for Iron Chef and Iron Chef America, uses locally sourced, season fresh ingredients from Hawaii to embark on a distinct culinary style that blends Western and Japanese traditions. Morimoto Maui brings a thoughtfully crafted lunch and dinner menu to a laidback, beachfront setting. This video captures all of Morimoto's signature dishes at his Maui restaurant, along with a sampling of his raw bar combination. The dishes had delicate, subtle flavors, which were well-balanced. The portions are rather small and wouldn't satisfy a hungry stomach, so be prepared to order several entrees if you have a big appetite. The sushi is super-fresh, and even the cooked ebi was among the best I've ever had. There are a couple of varieties of fish sourced locally, but most is flown in from Japan and elsewhere.
