Here is the Batata Vada recipe that goes into making the famous Vada Pav, a popular Maharashtrian Street Food. This Batata Vada can be had on its own along with Chutney and Tomato Ketchup or along with Pav or Bread. Some prefer to have it along with Sambhar. Whichever way you have it, this Vada is equally yummy. Given below is the Batata Vada recipe which can easily be made at home.

Ingredients:
4 boiled and mashed Potatoes
1 cup Besan
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1/2 tsp Turmeric
3 tsp Ginger Garlic Chilli crush
1 tsp Rice powder
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Salt to taste

Method:
-- Heat Oil and fry Mustard seeds, Curry leaves, Ginger-Garlic-Green Chilli crush, Salt and Turmeric.
-- Mash boiled Potatoes and add the above tempering along with Coriander leaves and combine well.
-- Make balls of this Potato mix.
-- Make a thick batter by adding water to Besan along with Salt and Turmeric.
-- Dip the Potato balls into the batter and fry till crisp.
-- Fry some Green Chillies to serve as accompaniment.
-- Serve hot along with Chillies, Ketchup and chutney.
