Chatpata Aloo Chaat | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

The classic Delhi chaat for a delicious evening snack.

CHATPATA ALOO CHAAT

Ingredients

2 medium potatoes, parboiled, peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes
1 large sweet potato, parboiled, peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes
Oil to deep fry
Black salt to taste
1 tsp chaat masala
1 tsp dried mango powder (amchur)
Salt to taste
1 tsp red chilli powder
3 tbsps sweetened yogurt
4 tbsps date and tamarind chutney
2 tbsps green chutney
ΒΌ small cabbage, shredded
1 small beetroot, peeled and cut into thin strips
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander

Method

1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep fry the potatoes and sweet potatoes separately. Drain on absorbent paper.
2. Transfer the fried potatoes on a plate, sprinkle black salt, chaat masala, amchur and salt, red chilli powder and set aside.
3. Transfer on a serving plate and drizzle yogurt, date and tamarind chutney and green chutney.
4. Sprinkle the cabbage, beetroot and coriander on top. Serve immediately.
