Cheesy Onion and Tomato Sliders Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Cute little Cheesy Onion and Tomato Sliders are sure to bring a smile on your face not just because of its looks but also because of its taste! Try this quick treat for your kiddos birthday party.

CHEESY ONION AND TOMATO SLIDER

Ingredients

4 cheese slices, quartered
2 medium onions, sliced
1 cup tomato concasse
8 mini burger buns
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsps chopped garlic
2-3 fresh thyme sprigs
Salt to taste
tsp crushed black peppercorns
1 tsps red chilli flakes
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
tsp paprika powder
cup melted butter
tsp dried mixed herbs

Method

1. Heat olive oil in a pan, add 1 tbsp garlic and saut till golden brown in colour. Add onions, thyme and salt, saut for 2-3 minutes.
2. Add tomato concasse, crushed black peppercorns and 1 tsp chilli flakes, saut for 1-2 minutes. Remove thyme sprigs.
3. Add tomato ketchup and paprika powder, mix well. Set aside.
4. Take melted butter in a bowl, add remaining garlic, dried mixed herbs and remaining chilli flakes and mix well
5. Preheat oven at 180C.
6. Arrange lower halves of burger buns on a baking tray and spread a spoonful of mixture on each bun.
7. Place two quarters of cheese slice on the mixture. Cover with the remaining halves of the bun and apply the flavored butter on top.
8. Bake for 5-6 minutes. Serve hot.
