#chickenchukka #chickensukka #chickenvaruval #chickenroastChicken Chukka Varuval in Tamil / Chicken Sukka in Tamil / Chicken Roast in Tamil / சிக்கன் சுக்கா வறுவல்Ingredients:Chicken - 750 gmsFor marinade:Chilli powder - 1/2 tbspTurmeric powder - 1/4 tspCumin seeds powder - 1 tspGaram Masala - 1/2 tspCurd - 1 tbspSalt - As requiredIngredients for masala paste:Red chillies - 5 to 6Peppercorns - 1 tspCoriander seeds - 1 tspCumin Seeds - 1 tspSaunf - 1 tspOther ingredients:Onion - 1 (medium sized - diced)Tomato - 1 (medium sized - diced)Garlic - 3 nos (finely chipped)Ginger - 1" approx (finely chopped)Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tspCurry Leaves - 1 sprigPepper Powder - 1/2 tbsp Oil - 5 tspMethod:1. Clean and marinate the chicken for about 15 to 20 min.2. Dry roast the masala ingredients and grind them to a smooth paste by adding little water.3. Pre-cook chicken on steam for about 5 min or 1 whistle (whichever is earliest, if the chicken is a big and tough one)3. Heat oil in a pan.4. When hot add in cumin seeds, curry leaves and the onions.5. When the onions become transparent, add the crushed ginger and garlic to it.6. Add in the tomatoes and cook until they become soft.7. Add the marinated / pre-cooked chicken to this and saute well until the chicken starts letting out some water.8. Now add in the the ground paste and saute well until the pieces are all well coated with the masala.9. Add approx. 100 ml of water, mix well and cook with lid closed with occasional sauteing. (Cook in medium flame)10. When the water level starts to reduce to a thicker consistency, cook with lid open.11. Once you get thicker consistency, add 1/2 tbsp of pepper powder to the chicken and mix well.12. Keep sauteing until the dry fry consistency is attained.13.
