Bhindi Pakora
Ingredients:
Bhindi/Okra - kg
Besan/gram flour - 1 measure
Rice flour - measure
Sambar powder - 1 tsp
Jeera - 1 tsp
Asaefotida - tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Baking powder - tsp (optional)
Method:
Wash and towel dry the Bhindi/okra thoroughly well
Now, slit them into strips
Add sambar powder, jeera, asaefotida and salt and toss mix everything together well
Its now time to add gram flour and rice flour - add little by little so that all the vegetables are coated well with both gram flour and rice flour
Remember that rice flour should be only half of the gram flour
Add baking powder if you wish
Heat oil for deep frying
Add the flour coated bhindi in handfuls into the hot oil
Fry till golden in both sides
