DRUMSTICK BESAN SAMBAR
INGREDIENTS:
Oil - As Required
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Fenugreek seeds - ½ tsp
Red chillies - 5 nos
Shallots - 100gms
Garlic - 10 cloves
Ginger - 1 piece
Drumstick - 2 pieces
Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Curry leaves - 1 spring
Tamarind juice - 1 cup
Water - As Required
Salt - As Per Taste
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Chickpea Flour - 1 cup
Jaggery - A pinch
Green chillies - 5 nos.
Coriander leaves - 1 bunch
Tomato - 2 nos.
DIRECTIONS:
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, red chillies, shallots, onions, garlic, ginger, onions, drumsticks saute it till light brown in color.
Then and add turmeric powder, asafoetida, curry leaves, tamarind juice, water, salt, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder mix it and cook it for 10 mins with the lid closed.
Heat ghee in another pan, add chickpea flour cook till they are slightly brown..
Now pour the chickpea flour mixture, jaggery, green chillies, coriander leaves and add tomatoes let it come to a boil nice aroma comes out of it. Switch off the flame. Dish is ready to serve.
