Gobi 65/ Cauliflower fry | Gayathiri's Cookbook

Gobi 65 is a South Indian snack cum starter recipe loved by everyone.
It is a very popular street food in india.This super crunchy and delicious appetizer is made from deep fried cauliflower florets coated with a spicy batter.

Ingredients:
Cauliflower- 2 medium
Rice flour- 1 cup
Corn flour- 3/4 cup
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Salt- As needed
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
Curd- 1/2 cup
Red chilli powder- 1.5 tsp
Jeera powder- 1 tsp
Coriander powder- 1 tsp
Garam masala powder- 1 tsp
Spring onion- 1/2 cup
Oil- As needed

Directions:

1.Cut cauliflower into small florets. Mix 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp turmeric in hot water.Keep the florets in hot water for 3 minutes. Drain the water and keep it on a dry cloth.
2. Prepare the batter by mixing cornflour, rice flour, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, jeera powder, ginger garlic paste, yogurt and salt in a bowl. Add water in small amounts to make it into a thick paste.
3. Add and marinate cauliflower florets in this batter for 20 minutes.
4.Heat oil in a kadai over medium flame.When the oil is hot, add the marinated florets.Do not add more than 6 florets at a time.
5.Fry until golden brown.You can add onion, garlic or green peppers
to the fried gobi to make it more tasty and flavorful.
