How to Make a Chai Latte - Chai Spice Recipe from Scratch

Warm, rich and spiced. This is a real autumn treat {but lovely iced too}!

Recipe:
4 tb (bags) of black tea {I used darjeeling} + 2 c water
1 c water
1 ts sized ginger
1 star anise
2 cinnamon sticks
4-5 cracked cardamom pods
2-4 cloves
2-4 black peppercorns
2/3 c brown sugar
Milk

1). Brew your black tea, set aside
2). Simmer together the cup of water and all the spices for 15-20 minutes.
3). Strain and mix together with the black tea. Sweeten and serve with steamed milk or pour over ice {2 parts chai/1 part milk}
