Panch Phoron Masala | पंच फोरन मसाला बनाने की आसान विधि | Atima's Kitchen

Panch Phoron or Pancha Phutana is a whole spice blend, originating from Bangladesh and used especially in the cuisine of Bangladesh and Eastern India, mainly Odisha, West Bengal, Mithila region of India and Nepal, Northeastern India and Nepal. The name literally means "five spices" .

This is a Masala, which is used in tempering for dry preparation of vegetables, and sometimes can be used in curries also. It gives the dish a different aroma.

Ingredients:
1. Cumin Seeds
2. Onion Seeds
3. Fennel Seeds
4. Fenugreek seeds
5. Wild Celery Seeds (Ajamod) or Black mustard seeds or Caraway seeds

*Take every ingredient in equal quantity.

Benefits of the ingredients added:

Cumin is rich in Iron and improves digestion.
Onion seeds are rich in Potassium, Calcium, and Iron.
Fennel Seeds contain high fiber and rich in Vitamins and Potassium, good for heart health.
Fenugreek seeds control Cholesterol, which helps in joint pain.
Wild Celery Seeds are hot in character, good for cough & cold, cleans kidney.
All these spices are helpful in weight management

Mix all the ingredients and Keep in an airtight jar.
