Quick Greek Breadsticks without Yeast: Kritsinia

Crunchy breadsticks that are perfect for dips and for snacking. Roll them in Everything Bagel Mix for a burst of flavor or in your favorite combination of seeds. These Greek breadsticks (kritsinia) are easy to make and do not require any yeast. Follow this easy recipe and make some today.

Make about 16:

2 cups (250 grams) all-purpose flour
1 and teaspoon baking powder
teaspoon salt
cup (150 grams) olive oil
1/3 cup water
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
Sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning for topping

Preheat the oven to 350 F, 180 C.

In the bowl of a tabletop mixer that has been fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the olive oil, water, and sugar.
Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and whisk them together.
Add the flour to the mixer and mix on low speed until combined.
Transfer to a bowl and allow it to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Roll the dough out into a rectangle that is inch thick.

Cut into 16-17 strips and roll them into cylinders.
Place the sesame seeds or the everything bagel seasoning into a shallow bowl.
Roll each cylinder in the seeds and place them on a baking tray that has been lined with parchment paper.
Bake on the center rack for about 35-40 minutes.
Allow them to cool completely and serve with your favorite dips.

Notes: Store leftovers in an airtight container and at room temperature.
