Boiled moong dal tempered with mild spices and shredded spinach leaves.SIMPLE PALAK DALIngredients2 cupsshredded spinach leaves (palak)2 cups skinless green gram (moongdal), pressure cooked with a pinch of turmeric powder1 tablespoon ghee1 teaspoon cumin seedsA pinch asafoetida1 tablespoon chopped garlic1 teaspoon chopped green chilliesSalt to tasteMethod1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida and sauté till fragrant. Add garlic and green chillies and sauté for a minute.2. Add green gram and mix well. Add salt and some water, mix and bring to boil.3. Add spinach, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.4.
