Spinach and feta spirals make a fun appetizer Here's an easy savory appetizer done in minutes by rolling up just a few flavorful ingredients.

SPINACH FETA SPIRALS

Ingredients

2 teaspoons oil
1 tablespoon garlic
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1cup spinach leaves, boiled and chopped
Salt to taste
2 teaspoons crushed black pepper
2 cubes feta cheese
5-6 phyllo pastry sheets
¼ cup melted butter

Method

1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add garlic and onion. Sauté till fragrant and translucent.
2. Add spinach, stir and mix well. Add salt and mix.
3. Add crushed black pepper and mix well.
4. Add feta cheese, mash and mix. Set aside.
5. Brush butter on the ready philo sheets in layers.
6. Once all the layers are brushed with butter, spread the prepared spinach mixture on top.
7. Roll into a cylinder, brush the edges with butter to seal. Make 2 such cylinders.
8. Roll the cylinders into spirals. Transfer to a baking tray, brush with egg and bake at 180˚ for 10-12 minutes.
9. Serve warm.
