Tandoori Lollipop | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Chicken lollipops marinated in a tandoori marinade and shallow-fried. Isn't it mouth watering?

TANDOORI LOLLIPOP - (Serves - 4)

Ingredients

12-16 chicken lollipops
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salt to taste
¼ cup hung yogurt
1 tablespoon Kashmiri red chilli paste
1 tablespoon mustard oil
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
½ teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves powder
½ teaspoon chaat masala
1 tablespoon roasted gram flour
Oil for shallow-frying
Fresh mint sprig for garnishing
Lemon wedges for serving
Onion rings for serving

Method

1. Take chicken lollipops in a bowl. Add ginger-garlic paste, chilli powder, lemon juice and salt and mix well. Set aside for 15-20 minutes.
2. Combine yogurt, red chilli paste, mustard oil, garam masala powder, dried fenugreek leaves powder, chaat masala, salt and gram flour in another bowl and mix well.
3. Add marinated chicken lollipops and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 2-3 hours
4. Heat some oil in a non-stick pan. Place marinated chicken lollipops and shallow-fry till golden and crisp from all sides.
5. Garnish with a mint sprig and serve hot with lemon wedges and onion rings.
