Crunchy and tangy South Indian dal vadas is a savior snack for tea-time!TANGY DAL VADAIngredients1¼ cups Tata Sampann Chana Dal1 tbsp grated ginger2-3 green chillies, chopped6-8 cocktail onions, chopped6-8 green olives, chopped1 small onion, chopped2 tbsps freshly chopped coriander leaves1 tbsp capers2-3 pickled jalapenos slices, chopped½ tsp turmeric powderSalt to tasteOil for deep fryingChutney to serveCoffee to serveMethod1. In a bowl, add Tata Sampann Chana Dal and sufficient water. Soak for 3-4 hours and drain. Transfer into a blender jar and blend to a coarse paste.2. Take the coarsely ground dal into a bowl, add ginger, green chillies, cocktail onions, olives, onion, chopped coriander, capers, jalapenos, turmeric powder, salt and mix till well combined.3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, take a portion of the prepared mixture and shape it into a ball and flatten it slighty. Drop it into the hot oil.4. Deep fry the vadas till golden and crisp.
