Baked Beans I never knew baked beans could be this good. These Vegan baked beans will blow your mind!2 cups navy beans4 cups water1 chopped onion2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1/2 cup molasses1/4 cup maple syrup1 teaspoon mustard powder2 tablespoons tomato paste 2 tablespoons miso 1 teaspoon of saltpepper3 cups waterPlace the beans in a bowl and cover with water. Soak 6 hours, rinse and drain.In a cast iron skillet or in a oven proof saucepan heat the oil, add onion and saut 5 minutes.Add molasses, maple syrup, mustard powder, tomato paste, miso, salt and pepper.
