1. Cook the pasta, drain, and return to pot. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper; cook, stirring, for 1 minute. I strain the garlic and red pepper out after this portion because I only use those ingredients for flavor and do not like them included in the actual dish. 2. Add shrimp and simmer until shrimp are opaque (If you use all ingedients, also add the wine and salt at this point), 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in the butter until melted.
