1. Shred 1/4 almonds into thin strips (optional) and grind the rest into a smooth paste using some of the milk. 2. Bring the rest of the milk to a boil and simmer till 2/3 of the volume remains. 3. Add the almond paste, sugar, cardamom powder and saffron. Simmer on low heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. 4. Transfer to serving dish and chill. 5.
