1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 2. Butter a shallow ovenproof dish (or dishes if you prefer to bake the eggs individually. 3. Break the eggs into the dish. 4. Season with salt and pepper. 5. Sprinkle the ham over the whites. 6. Sprinkle the top with Parmesan or Romano. 7. Dot with butter. 8. Cover the dish,and bake for 7-10 mins., or until the whites have set and the cheese has melted. 9. Garnish with basil. 10. Serve hot with warmed peas. 11.
