1. Combine cake ingredients following cake mix directions. 2. Bake in 2 round pans for 30 minutes. 3. Remove from oven to cool on wire racks. 4. Mix the pudding following the directions; set aside. 5. Peel bananas, slice into 1/4 inch circles into a bowl. 6. Slice cooled cake lengthwise through center (there should be 4 thin cakes). Place 1 into large bowl or trifle dish. 7. Spread with 1/3 of the pudding. 8. Layer some the banana slices over pudding. 9. Add 1/4 Cool Whip over bananas layer. 10. Repeat: cake layer, pudding, bananas and Cool Whip. 11. Layer once more with cake, then remaining Cool Whip. 12.
