1. Soak your skewers in water,.

2. so that they will not burn on the barbecue.

3. Then place your beef or chicken in a bowl.

4. Combine sugar, soy sauce, garlic and ginger, marinate beef or chicken, at least 30 minutes.

5. Then thread your beef/chicken on the skewers.

6. Broil over hot coals for 3 to 5 minutes on each side.

7. Serve with rice.
