Beef Stew With Cheddar Dumplings


1. In a Dutch oven, heat oil and brown meat on all sides.

2. Add onion salt, pepper, garlic salt, water and bouillon.

3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, about 1 hour.

4. Add carrots and onion.

5. Simmer, covered, until vegetables are tender.

6. Stir in green beans.

7. For dumplings, combine biscuit mix and cheese.

8. Stir in enough milk to form a soft dough.

9. Drop by tablespoonful into bubbling stew.

10. Cover and simmer 12 minutes (do not lift cover) or until dumplings are done.

11. Serve immediately.
