1. Soak Basmati rice for 20 minutes. 2. Heat oil. 3. Add first set of spices(Cardamon, Star anise, cloves, cumin,cinnamon, bay leaves). 4. Add onions. 5. After frying add ginger garlic and green chilies. 6. Add beetroot grated.Fry beetroot. 7. Add salt. 8. Add soaked rice and 2-3 cups water. 9. Add chili powder, Garam masala, turmeric. 10. Keep stirring now and then and wait till rice is cooked n fluffy. 11. Goes very well with cucumber raita. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
