1. In saucepan combine broth and shallots. 2. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. 3. Simmer, covered for 3 minutes. 4. Stir in whipping cream and brandy. 5. Simmer, uncovered for 10 minutes, or until reduced to 1 cup. 6. Add butter, one piece at a time, whisking well. 7. Stir in lemon juice and white pepper. 8. In skillet, saute shrimp in oil for 4 minutes. 9. Add sauce; heat through; sprinkle with chives. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
