1. In a medium saucepan, beat potatoes and milk with a whisk until smooth. 2. Stir in half and half. 3. Stir over medium heat until soup barely comes to a boil. 4. Add salt and pepper to taste. 5. Sprinkle top with a dash of allspice. 6. Ladle into individual bowls or mugs. 7. Garnish with parsley and 1/2 teaspoon butter. 8.
