Caramel Cake


1. turn oven to 170 degrees.

2. grease and flour a 20cm round tin.

3. cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

4. beat in egg.

5. beat well.

6. put milk, syrup and soda in a pan.

7. heat gently, DON'T BOIL!

8. sift flour into a bowl.

9. add milk mixture.

10. mix well.

11. spread only half of the mixture into prepared tin.

12. add cocoa to rest of batter.

13. mix it well.

14. add to prepared tin - don't mix it up.

15. bake 40-45 minutes.
