1. Put the spices in an extra-large slow cooker, add the Guinness, and stir well. 2. Place the corned beef into the cooker and almost cover with water. 3. Cook on low 7 to 9 hours. 4. Add the carrots and cabbage to the pot and cook an additional 45 minutes. 5. Remove the corned beef from the pot and slice (against the grain) while the cabbage finishes cooking. 6.
