1. Bring broth to a boil in 3 qt saucepan. 2. Add ham, water chestnuts, corn and pepper. Return to boil. 3. Meanwhile combine cornstarch with cold water. 4. Add cornstarch mixture to soup and cook, stirring until soup boils and thickens. 5. Remove from heat and slowly add egg whites while stirring. 6.
