1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter. 2. Sauté shallot in butter until soft, about 3 minutes. 3. Stir in flour, seasoning, salt and pepper. 4. Cook over medium heat for 1 minute, stirring constantly. 5. Slowly add half-and-half and lemon juice. 6. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth. 7. Stir together sauce and broccoli. 8.
