1. Melt butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add onions and mushrooms and cook while stirring until mushrooms are soft, about 4 minutes. 2. Stir in stock, cream and black pepper to taste, bring to a gentle boil and simmer for 6 to 8 minutes or until sauce reduces and thickens slightly. 3.
