1. In 2-quart saucepan cook onion and curry powder in water till onion is tender. 2. Stir in milk, coconut, cloves, and salt. 3. Simmer, covered, for 15 minutes. 4. Strain mixture through a sieve. 5. Stir about 1 cup of the hot milk mixture into the egg yolks. 6. Return to remaining milk mixture in saucepan. 7. Cook and stir about 2 minutes or till mixture thickens slightly. 8. Remove from heat; cover and chill. 9. Garnish each serving with toasted coconut if desired. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
