1. Combine water, sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon stick in a pan and cook over very low heat until sugar dissolves. 2. Increase heat and bring mixture to a boil. 3. Boil rapidly one minute. 4. Remove pan from heat. 5. Put peaches in syrup and return to heat. 6. Poach peaches over low heat for 3 minutes. 7. Let fruit cool in syrup. 8. Stir in Drambuie. 9.
