1. Preheat oven to 400°F. 2. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. 3. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together; add alternatively with the milk to the creamed mixture. 4. Add almonds and anise seed; mix thoroughly. 5. Drop from a teaspoon onto a baking sheet. 6.
