1. Preheat oven to 375°. 2. Butter a 13x9 baking pan. 3. Arrange saltines right side up in a single layer in pan. 4. Melt butter and sugar over medium heat. 5. Bring to boil, boil 3 minutes stirring occasionally. 6. Remove from heat. 7. Stir in vanilla. 8. Pour over crackers, spread evenly with spatula. 9. Bake for 5 minutes, if crackers move, rearrange with a fork. 10. Cool for about 10 minutes. 11. Sprinkle chocolate morsels over top. 12. Let stand about 5 minutes the evenly spread over top. 13. Cool completely, then cut in 2x1 inch bars. 14. Place a pecan half over each piece. 15. Store in refrigerator. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
