1. Turn slow cooker to high and add sugar and water. 2. Stir to dissolve sugar. 3. Gently pack quinces in syrup and close lid. 4. Cook on high for the first hour. 5. Turn to low and cook for six hours, or until quinces turn a rich red. 6. Pour lemon juice over quinces and scatter with lemon zest. 7. Simmer on low for a least half an hour, or until ready to serve. 8. Serve with fresh cream. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
