European Style Paprikas


1. In a large skillet, saute the onions in the shortening until brown.

2. Add meat and lightly brown.

3. Add paprika, salt, pepper, garlic, and flour, stirring to coat evenly, and fry for 5 minutes.

4. Add tomato juice, potatoes, water, wine, and bay leaf.

5. Cover and let simmer until potatoes are done.
