French Cream Mint Brownies


1. To make the brownies: cream the sugar and butter together in a mixing bowl.

2. Add in the eggs, chocolate syrup, flour, and baking powder; stir to blend.

3. Spoon/pour mixture in a greased 15x10 jelly roll pan.

4. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

5. Chill in the refrigerator while making the filling.

6. To make the filling: cream the butter and powdered sugar together in a mixing bowl.

7. Add in the milk, peppermint extract, and food coloring; stir to blend.

8. Spread evenly over the brownie crust; refrigerate until firm.

9. To make the frosting: Melt the butter and chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat; stir constantly.

10. Pour evenly over filling.

11. Chill slightly; cut into squares.

12. Return to refrigerator and chill until firm.
