German Bienenstich Cake


1. Grease but don't flour 8" or 9" springform pan.

2. Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla until really foamy.

3. Add flour and baking powder together and fold into sugar mixture.

4. Preheat oven to 350°F

5. Put into pan and bake 20 minutes.

6. Mix together pudding and whipping cream, cool in fridge.

7. Melt butter, milk, and sugar together stirring constantly. Then add almonds.

8. Keep stirring until almonds are well coated.

9. Remove cake from oven, leave in pan put topping on top of cake.

10. Bake another 20 minutes.

11. Cool 10 minutes in pan then remove from pan and cool rest of way.

12. Cut cake in half, spread filling in middle, put top back on.
