1. Cream butter, shortening, and brown sugar thoroughly. 2. Blend in egg and molasses. 3. Sift together the remaining ingredients. 4. Stir into sugar mixture. 5. Shape dough into 3/4-inch balls. 6. Place 2-inches apart on greased baking sheets. 7. Flatten each ball with the bottom of a glass that has been greased and dipped into sugar. 8. Bake in preheated 350°F for 12-15 minutes. 9.
