1. Melt the butter on low heat in a pan. 2. Add the onions or shallot and cook for about a minute. 3. Add the flour and stir until absorbed. 4. Slowly stir in the milk or broth. 5. Turn up the heat and bring the broth to a boil. 6. Turn the heat down and once the broth has thickened add the peas. 7. Heat through. 8.
