Greek Pastitsio


1. MEAT SAUCE

2. Saute Onions in Oil and add Minced Meat

3. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer on low for 45 minute.

4. Remove Cinnamon Sticks.

5. BECHAMEL SAUCE.

6. Heat Oil, add Flour, stir and cook for 2 minutes.

7. Add Milk very gradually stirring all the time.

8. Remove from heat.

9. Cool a little and add eggs.

10. Then add Mitzithra and Nutmeg.

11. Place ½ the Macaroni into a dish and salt a little.

12. Add Minced Meat and then the rest of Macaroni.

13. Pour Bechamel Sauce on top.

14. Sprinkle with Mitzithra.

15. Bake at 180C for 45 minuits.
