1. Was,trim,and cut green beans into 2 inch segments.Peel and chop onion,set onion aside. 2. Bring water and 1 teaspoon of salt to a boil.Add beans and simmer 8 minutes.Immediately drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process,. 3.
