Guatemalan Black Beans


1. In large kettle, cover beans with 2" water.

2. Add garlic.

3. Bring water to boil.

4. Turn fire down to soft boil and cover.

5. Cook 1 hour.

6. When beans are soft, add onions and salt and simmer 1/2 hour - 1 hour more.
