Hairy Fingers


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Grease baking pan.

3. Mix nuts, crumbs, sugar and orange juice.

4. Divide the long threads of kadaifi pastry into 16 to 18 portions.

5. On the end of each portion, place 1 heaping tablespoon of nut mixture.

6. Roll up loosely.

7. Place rolls side by side in pan, but not too closely.

8. Pour butter over rolls and bake for 45 minutes.

9. Remove rolls from oven.

10. While rolls are resting for 20 minutes, combine syrup ingredients in saucepan.

11. Boil for 5 minutes.

12. Pour syrup over rolls.

13. Cover with dish towel.

14. Allow syrup to absorb for 5 or 6 hours. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
