1. Drain all the liquid from the beets except 1 1/2 cups. 2. pour the 1 1/2 cups beet liquid into a medium saucepan. 3. Add all of the other ingredients except the sliced beets. 4. Mix well. 5. Add the beets. 6. Cook over medium heat for 3 minutes or until liquid thickens. 7. Allow to cool. 8. Refrigerate. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
