1. Carefully place water in the bottom of a 600mL/1 pint/ 20 oz plastic bottle. It is important a this stage to ensure the water is not placed in the top of the bottle except insofar as to pass through it into the bottom. 2. Place the uncapped bottle upright or on a slight angle in the FREEZER part of your 'fridge. Ensure that the angle of the bottle to the horizontal is at least 70 degrees or else the water may attempt to remain at the top of the bottle. This is never a good thing. 3. Leave overnight (or longer if your ridgy-didge is pretty weak). When the water no longer attempts to reach the top of the bottle, no matter how much you move it (the bottle, not the water - otherwise it is clearly not ready), it is ready. 4. Carefully place more water in the bottle, allowing it to reach the top this time. Close cap on bottle and wrap in your daggiest tea towel. 5. Tip: You can top up the runny water when it runs out but only if there is still some non-runny water in the bottle. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
